AARP Smart Driver Course
$15 for AARP members, $20 for non-members. Payable by check only to AARP. Space is limited and registration is required (call 1-888-227-7660). The course also is offered online.
Course participants will tune up their driving skills, learn safe driving strategies and update their knowledge of the rules of the road. The instructor provides information about normal age-related physical changes and how to adjust driving to allow for these changes. Students will receive a certification after completing the class. Some insurance companies operating in Maryland consider drivers who take the course qualified for reduced or discounted premiums.
