Did you know that January 15th is the day that most resolutions have been abandoned? We decided to mark the date with a party!
BMAV Tours Hillwood Estate!
On December 16th, a crew of BMAV members braved the cold temperatures and spent a lovely afternoon enjoying a private tour of the Hillwood Estate in Washington, DC. The tour was such a hit, we hope to do it again when the spring flowers are in bloom.
On November 15th, full services members are eligible for the following three services from BMAV volunteers: friendly visits, transportation to medical and medically-related appointments, and light handyman services. Full members may call BMAV at (240)630-2628 or email BMAVillage@gmail.com to request a service.
BMAV attends Capital Area Food Bank event
On Monday, October 31, several BMAV members participated in Bethesda Empty Bowls, a fundraiser for the Capital Area Food Bank that was held at the Bethesda Hyatt. Participants* each chose a bowl made by local artisans, including many from local high schools, and then had a lunch of donated soup from any of several participating local restaurants, supplemented by local breads and desserts.

A Cup of Tea - And New Neighbors

80-Plus Gather For BMAV Update
More than 80 neighbors gathered at the Edgemoor Club on January 31 for an update about Bethesda Metro Area Village and an afternoon of socializing with friends, old and new.

BMAV Secured 501(c)(3) status
The Bethesda Metro Area Village obtained its federal 501(c)(3) nonprofit tax status on March 6, 2015.
BMAV has been incorporated in the state of Maryland as a nonprofit organization since 2014.
Valentine's Musical Social Held
BMAV held a community Valentine's tea at the Battery Park Clubhouse in February. Entertainment was provided by "Dolly and Friends."
J. Frederic Mushinski, M.D. (1938 - 2014)
Our neighbor Fred Mushinski died on December 18, 2014.
