What’s really going on in Afghanistan?  Find out in a Q & A with the recently returned Deputy Chief of Mission in Kabul.

Annie Pforzheimer, Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary of the State Department Bureau of south and Central Asian Affairs has recently returned from Kabul, Afghanistan where she served as Deputy Chief of Mission.  She has previously served in Colombia, South Africa, Turkey, San Salvador, and Mexico. She has earned numerous awards including the State Department’s human rights award for her work in Turkey.

 

Ms. Pforzheimer will be speaking with BMAV members and friends about life in Afghanistan and America’s involvement.  Join us for refreshments and this fascinating program.
