About this event
Join Zaida Arguedas and the BMAV Travel SIG on a journey through time to the Civil War's deadliest battle — The Battle of Gettysburg. Registration and $180 payment is required through P&P asap to reserve your spot. https://politics-prose.com/list/pp-day-trip-gettysburg. Then email Zaida to let her know you are attending.
The group will meet in the Den Cafe at P&P, 5015 Connecticut Ave, at 7:30 a.m. for a breakfast of coffee and bagels before departing at 8:00 a.m. The day begins at the Gettysburg: Beyond the Battle Museum. From there we will go to Gettysburg National Military Park where our bus will take a guided tour of the battlefield with a Licensed Battlefield Guide from the National Park Service. We will also see the site where Abraham Lincoln called for a "new birth of freedom" for the nation in his famous Gettysburg Address.
Transportation is by chartered bus.
