In this discussion, Dr. Suarez will describe how AI works, how it can impact our daily lives, and what could be in store for the future.
Alejandro Suarez, Ph.D., is a Program Director at the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF). For the past 10 years, Dr. Suarez has funded the cyberinfrastructure that supports scientific research: be it supercomputers, software and data analysis tools, or educations and workforce programs. Prior to joining NSF, Dr. Suarez completed his B.S. in Applied Physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, earned a Ph.D. in Computational Physics from Penn State University, and served as a Postdoctoral Associate at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory.
