Help a Neighbor — On YOUR Schedule!
Are you able to contribute a bit of your time? BMAV volunteers choose the options that work for them: a ride to the doctor or church, some light home repair, help with the computer, or a phone check-in. Volunteering with us is flexible, rewarding, and fun!

1. Why should I volunteer?

We are neighbors helping neighbors stay in their homes as they age. Little things, like a ride to the doctor or a simple home repair, may become difficult. By helping each other, we meet those needs and make new personal connections.

It's totally up to you! Volunteer opportunities are shared by email, and you can pick the ones that work with your schedule. There is no required minimum commitment. Volunteering even once a month is very helpful.

We welcome volunteers of any age, whether you live in our service area or not. Our wonderful tech volunteer lives in California and helps out by Zoom. Volunteers under 18 participate in group supervised settings only.

Our most frequent request is for transportation — to a doctor's appointment or church or another event. Often, one volunteer will drive the member to an event, and another will bring the member home.
