The Kreeger Museum, located in northwest DC at the former home of David Lloyd and Carmen Kreeger, designed by renowned architect Philip Johnson, houses their private, stunning, large and diverse art collection. The Kreeger's focus on 19th and 20th century paintings is evidenced by works of Monet, Picasso, Renoir, Cezanne, Chagall, Miro, and Stella. Also included in the permanent collection are works of prominent Washington artists and outstanding examples of traditional African and Asian art. The grounds also include a lovely sculpture garden and the Kreeger Woods, all extending the visitor’s opportunities to experience art in a natural setting.
